Dr Anthony Crombie is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon consulting and operating in Kelvin Grove, Chermside and Coffs Harbour.

Dr Crombie is available for consultation on all aspects of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery including wisdom teeth, dentoalveolar surgery, bone grafting and implants.

His particular interests are:

Head and neck skin cancer, dental implants and bone augmentation, salivary gland disease, oral cavity cancer and oral pathology and dentofacial deformity (orthognathic surgery).

Dr Anthony Crombie graduated from medicine and dentistry from the University of Queensland.  Following residency at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, he commenced training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery through the Queensland Regional Training Program.  His training included two years at the Gold Coast Hospital where he received extensive training in the management of facial skin cancer. He spent his final year of training in Liverpool, UK at the prestigious Aintree University Hospital and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital gaining further training in the management of head and neck cancer, salivary gland disease and craniofacial/cleft lip and palate surgery.  During this period, he was also successful in obtaining the specialist examination in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery through the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS(OMFS)).  Following this, he undertook further training in the management of head and neck cancer at the University of Maryland Medical Centre in Baltimore, USA and Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital.

Dr Anthony Crombie has a keen interest in research and completed a Masters of Philosophy in chemoradiotherapy for oral cavity cancer from the University of Queensland.  He has published and presented on this topic (and others) in prestigious international journals and conferences.

Dr Anthony Crombie also maintains a keen interest in training the future doctors of Queensland through his previous appointment as Visiting Medical Officer, at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.
