Dr Daniel Berge

Dr Daniel Berge is a specialist Pain Medicine Physician and Anaesthetist who has been at The Wesley Hospital since 2008.  Recently, Dr Berge has opened a new practice, Interventus Pain Specialists, with Dr Richard Pendleton. Specific areas of interest for Dr Berge include spinal pain and regional anaesthesia.

After completing his medical degree at the University of Cape Town, South Africa he travelled to the UK where he completed his specialist anaesthetic training at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospitals, London. His sub speciality interest in pain medicine led to fellowship training at St Thomas Hospital, John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle, NSW as well as The Royal Brisbane Hospital.

Dr Berge is a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists, the Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) and the Faculty of Pain Medicine of ANZCA. He is also a member of the Spine Intervention Society and the American Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine.

He is a medical tutor at The Wesley Hospital and an ABIME certified independent medical examiner.
