Dr Tal Jacobson

Dr Tal Jacobson is a skilled specialist practitioner and an accomplished academic, with a career that has taken him around the world.

Tal graduated from Cambridge University and Guy’s Hospital, London University. He then completed extensive specialist training in the UK, including a one year Fertility Fellowship at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and a two year Fellowship in keyhole gynaecological surgery at St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Hospitals. After completing his training in the UK, he spent a number of years practising in New Zealand before moving to Brisbane in 2010.

He is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and an examiner for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (RANZCOG) membership exam. Tal is also a Staff Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Mater Mothers’ Hospital.

Tal’s original research on endometriosis, pelvic pain, infertility, and laparoscopic surgery has been published in peer reviewed journals and presented at international conferences. He has been awarded the Cutler’s Company Surgical Fellowship and several other prizes and awards for his minimal access surgery research, and has undertaken travelling fellowships to the USA, Germany, and Austria.
