Dr Julie Buchanan is an Associate of Eve Health and can be your doctor if you need:

• An obstetrician

Dr Buchanan has a special interest in the complex and potentially changing journey of pregnancy and the sensitive nature of gynaecological problems, and as such places emphasis on communicating clearly and compassionately. She has experience in prolapse and incontinence surgery plus advanced laparoscopic techniques

Many women experience changes in their lifetime and Dr Buchanan truly understands this. As a mother to three primary school aged children, she well remembers the pregnancy journey and the uncertainty that can occur.

It is important for her to keep up to date by attending conferences and teaching medical students. She helped set up the University of Queensland clinical coaching program in Ipswich and plays an important part in maintaining the education of medical students.

In the rare instance Dr Buchanan is unavailable, 24/7 cover is provided by one of the expert team of obstetricians at Eve Health. All Eve Health patients have access to carefully tailored small group antenatal education, an in-house women’s health physiotherapist and also may attend the immensely popular Eve Health post-natal coffee group.
