Dr Robert Adam

Dr Robert Adam is a consultant neurologist with particular expertise in movement disorders and memory problems. He sees patients with all neurological conditions including headache, migraine, tremor, movement disorders, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, epilepsy, seizures and dementia.

Dr Adam trained in neurology in the UK at Cambridge and Queen Square, London, where he completed a PhD in Cognitive Neurology. He has also trained in neurology and psychiatry in the USA at New York University Medical Center, and completed fellowships as the inaugural ABN/ANZAN fellow at Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney, and as the John Morris Movement Disorders Fellow at Westmead.

He works at the Royal Brisbane Hospital and admits private patients to St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital and The Wesley Hospital. Dr Adam offers botulinum toxin for migraine and dystonia. He also performs greater occipital nerve blockade for headaches. He works with neurosurgeon, Dr Norman Ma, to provide deep brain stimulation for Parkinson’s, dystonia and tremor.
