Dr Geoff Coughlin is a Urologist who joined other Wesley Urologists in 2010 to develop the Hospital’s robotic surgery program. Dr Coughlin has specialities in robotic surgery, active surveillance of prostate cancer, abnormal PSA, and prostate cancer. 
 
He is a Charter Member of the Society of Robotic Surgery for recognition as one of the leading 100 robotic surgeons in the world. Dr Coughlin completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland in 1998. In 2006 he underwent fellowship training in laparoscopic surgery at St George's NHS Trust in London. He trained in urology in Queensland and was awarded his Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2007. Dr Coughlin also underwent two years of fellowship training in robotic prostatectomy in the United States under the guidance of Dr Vipul Patel - the world leader in robotic prostatectomy. 
 
Dr Coughlin has published many peer reviewed journal articles and several book chapters on robotic surgery and is Assistant Professor in Urology at the University of Central Florida. He is also a member of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand, the Australian Medical Association, the Australian-Canadian Prostate Cancer Research Alliance and the American Urological Association.
