Wesley Nutrition Services

The Wesley Hospital's Accredited Practicing Dieticians provide expert nutritional care for our patients. Dietitians screen and assess nutritonal status and offer counselling to patients and carers to ensure appropriate medical nutrition therapy during admission and upon discharge. Working in conjunction with medical specialists and other health care workers to achieve optimal health through good nutrition, our dietitians play an important role in the Wesley's multi-disciplinary approach to health care.

Offering both inpatient and outpatient services, our dietitians specialise in the nutrition management of:

  • heart disease, stroke and cardiac rehabilitation
  • diabetes
  • cancer
  • weight issues
  • patients pre and post surgery
  • pregnancy and gestational disease
  • gastrointestinal disease
  • kidney disease
  • healthy eating for the whole family
  • nutrition support
