What is hospital pharmacy?
Hospital pharmacists operate as part of your multidisciplinary healthcare team and are involved in monitoring medication usage, counselling patients, providing drug information and advice to health professionals and the community, conducting clinical trials and preparing products for patient use.
Wesley pharmacy services are provided by Slade Pharmacy, which has more than 30 years’ experience in hospital pharmacy and oncology services.
Slade Pharmacy at The Wesley Hospital can:
- Prepare medicines for you while in hospital and when you are ready to go home.
- Prepare chemotherapy for you if you are undergoing cancer treatment.
- Make sure you understand what medicines you are taking home and how to take them in order to stay safe and well.
- Liaise with your local pharmacy when required to ensure your continuity of care.
