Adjunct Professor James (Jim) Houston has been appointed Director of Medical Services at The Wesley Hospital.

Having worked for many years in both the public and private sector, Dr Houston's most recent roles were as the Deputy Director of Medical Services at RBWH and Acting Director of Medical Services at Caboolture Hospital. 

Prior to these roles, Dr Houston was employed as the Director of Medical Services at Greenslopes Private Hospital for 16 years. During his time at the 580 bed hospital, Dr Houston was responsible for the quality of the medical services and support of the Visiting Medical Officers, as well as the employed medical staff and junior medical staff. Dr Houston was integral in the expansion activities of the hospital including eight new theatres and a new expanded CCU.

Dr Houston’s achievements and experience across health, demonstrate his commitment to driving and supporting the provision of safe, evidence-based healthcare and we're delighted to welcome Jim to The Wesley community.
