Dr Melinda Cook

Dr Cook is a General Surgeon specialising in breast and endocrine surgery. Dr Cook has special interests in benign and malignant breast disease, sentinel node biopsy, minimally invasive parathyroidectomy and options for immediate breast reconstruction.

Dr Cook received her medical degree from the University of Queensland and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Dr Cook completed her general surgery fellowship in 2004 working with Professor Ian Gough, Dr Colin Furnival and Dr Barry Fryar as the Breast and Endocrine Surgical Fellow in 2005.

Dr Cook also has a fellowship in Burns Surgery, obtained during 12 months working in the Professor Stuart Pegg Burns Unit at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.

Dr Cook has been in private practice since 2006 at North West Private Hospital and holds appointments with Breast Screen Queensland and the Wesley Breast Clinic as a Visiting Medical Officer.
