Email WebsiteDr. Kristen Moloney is a Gynaecologist and Certified Gynaecologic Oncologist, specialising in the management of benign, pre-invasive and malignant gynaecologic pathologies. Committed to holistic patient care, Kris provides comprehensive services in both the public and private sector with appointments to practice at both The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) and The Wesley Hospital.
Kris was awarded the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from Monash University in 2009 and attained Fellowship of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) in 2018. Kris then pursued sub-speciality training in Gynaecologic Oncology at Mercy Hospital for Women in Melbourne, The Hunter New England Centre for Gynaecologic Cancer in New South Wales, and the Queensland Centre for Gynaecologic Cancer (RBWH and Mater Hospital’s).
Kris is a passionate educationalist and is currently pursuing a Masters of Surgical Education with The University of Melbourne. As a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine at The University of Queensland, Kris shares her knowledge and expertise with the next generation of medical professionals. Kris serves on the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) Board of Examiners for Certification in Gynaecologic Oncology (CGO) and is a member ofthe RANZCOG CGO sub-committee, working with colleagues across Australia and New Zealand to uphold the highest standards of education and training for Gynaecologic Oncology trainees.
Committed to advancement in the field of Gynaecologic Oncology, Kris actively engages in research and innovation. She serves as a reviewer for the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology as well as the Asia-Pacific Journal of Clinical Oncology and plays as integral role in research conducted by the Queensland Centre for Gynaecologic Cancer.
Kris recognises the value of both collaboration and continuous professional development – she holds a position on the executive committee of the Australian Society for Gynaecologic Oncology (ASGO) and maintains memberships with The Australian and New Zealand Gynaecologic Oncology Group (ANZGOG), the Australian Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP), the International Gynaecologic Cancer Society and the Australian Medical Association.
