Dr Patrick Pearce

Dr Patrick Pearce is a neurosurgeon and spine surgeon who joined the Briz Brain & Spine team in 2022. He has has particular interests in: general neurosurgery, neuro-oncology and spine surgery.

Growing up in Brisbane, Dr Pearce completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Queensland before undertaking initial medical training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital.

He relocated to Melbourne to undertake further neurosurgical training at the Royal Melbourne, Royal Children’s and St Vincent’s Hospital. Following this, he returned to Brisbane where he completed his final years of training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. He also undertook further sub-specialty training in spine surgery and has since completed a spine fellowship.

Dr Pearce now holds a consultant neurosurgeon position at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in addition to his private practice at Briz Brain & Spine. He has a keen interest in teaching and learning with affiliations to the University of Queensland. Dr Pearce is also heavily involved in research and teaching, having presented at a number of national and international forums and publishing a number of research papers.
