Dr Swindle is a Urologist who commenced working at The Wesley Hospital in 2003. He has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer. He has extensive radical prostatectomy experience of over 1,200 cases including robotic prostatectomy, open radical prostatectomy and laparoscopic radical prostatectomy. Dr Swindle also has extensive experience in both low dose rate and high dose rate brachytherapy for the treatment of prostate cancer.
Dr Swindle graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School in 1990 and completed advanced urological training in 2000. He has also completed a Masters of Surgery Degree on prostate cancer at the University of Sydney. Following on from his general urological training, Dr Swindle undertook a two year Fellowship in urological oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer in New York, specialising in prostate cancer.
Dr Swindle is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, a member of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand and is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland.
