Dr Sarah Scott (nee Stevenson) is a General Nephrologist with an interest in chronic kidney disease management, dialysis and kidney transplantation, cardio-renal medicine and immune mediated kidney disease. She is also interested in prevention and treatment of acute kidney injury and perioperative medicine. She is accepting referrals now and is available for phone consultation and advice for General Practitioners and Specialists.
Dr Scott prides herself on providing integrated, patient focused care. She is passionate about working with her patients, their families and health practioners to treat and manage kidney disease. She has clinics at the Wesley Hospital and Holy Spirit Northside Hospital and sees inpatients at both locations. Sarah also visits the Fresenius Chermside and Fresenius North Lakes Dialysis and Wesley dialysis units.
Dr Stevenson gained her BSc and MBBS through the University of Queensland and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP). She is a member of the Australia and New Zealand Society of Nephrologists (ANZSN), the Transplant Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ) and the International Society of Nephrologists (ISN). She undertook specialty training in Brisbane through the RBWH, Princess Alexandra Hospital, where she was the Chief Renal Registrar, and Greenslopes Private Hospital. She has published extensively and was awarded the Shaun Summers Prize in 2014 for her work with Tuberous Sclerosis.
She has a solid background in education and training having been the trainee representative to the Special Advisory Committee for Nephrology for the RACP and has sat on several college committees working to improve training outcomes for junior doctors.
