Our medical specialists, staff, and volunteers care deeply about our patients and are there to reassure Queenslanders through the fear and stress that can come with a life-threatening diagnosis like cancer.

Your gift today can help give patients like Andrew their best chance to survive cancer.

Andrew's Story

Andrew, who is a builder by trade, went into ‘fix it’ mode after his diagnosis. But, it was a different story for his wife Jo and their two teenaged children, Ethan and Eliza.

“It was a massive shock,” Jo remembers. “We told the kids point blank what was going on and where we were at with it, and Eliza said, ‘is Dad going to die?’

After reading up on his options, Andrew chose robotic surgery at The Wesley. His cancer was successfully removed, and Andrew recovered quickly, much to the relief of his family.

“The money people donated in the past helped save my life,” says Andrew in his typically frank way.

Your gift today could help save someone’s life too.
