Dr Jenny Gough is a General Surgeon specialising in breast and endocrine surgery. Dr Gough’s special interests are endocrine surgery (including thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal surgery using minimally invasive techniques) and breast surgery (including oncoplastic techniques and sentinel lymph node biopsy).
She is a University of Queensland graduate and gained her Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in January 2007. Dr Gough undertook post fellowship training in endocrine surgery at The Hammersmith Hospital in London in 2007, and was the Oncoplastic Breast Fellow at The Royal Marsden Hospital in London in 2008.
During her time in the United Kingdom she extended her operative experience in minimally invasive endocrine surgery and oncoplastic breast surgery. She also maintains an interest in academic surgery and has published articles on endocrine surgical topics. Dr Gough returned to Brisbane in January 2009 to commence private practice at The Wesley Hospital and North West Private Hospital. Dr Gough is also appointed as a General, Breast and Endocrine surgeon at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
