We are open to the general public, as well as providing follow-up care for all patients admitted to The Wesley Hospital for surgery, medical illness, specific medical treatment or investigation. The Wesley Rehabilitation Centre’s vestibular service provides specialised assessment, education and management for people with vestibular issues. Vestibular problems can be secondary to conditions related to the inner ear or brain. People with vestibular dysfunction often experience symptoms associated with vertigo, dizziness, visual disturbance, and/or imbalance.

At the Wesley Rehabilitation Centre, we have several accredited practising dietitians who can provide expert nutritional care to meet your individual needs. Our Wesley Rehabilitation Centre speech pathologists assess, diagnose, treat and manage a range of communication and swallowing difficulties for patients referred by their specialist doctors or general practitioners. Speech pathologists are involved in the care of patients in the neurology, acute stroke, medical, surgical, critical care and emergency units within the hospital and are pleased to be able to extend their care to the outpatient setting following discharge from hospital.

Our exercise physiologists specialise in designing and delivering evidence-based movement and exercise interventions for chronic disease prevention and management, musculoskeletal injuries and general health management.
The exercise physiology team can provide personalised care whether you’re living with a chronic condition, illness, injury or want advice on exercise for your specific needs. An exercise physiologist will work as a part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best results for you as a patient or may work independently to achieve your goals.

Our psychologists provide individual assessments and evidence-based treatment to address various physical illnesses/conditions including (but not limited to):
In the rehabilitation setting, the aim of psychological treatment is to assist patients to identify and learn coping strategies to manage their physical and/or mental health symptoms. Psychologists also assist patients to understand and manage any factors that may affect their physical health, such as stress.
Psychologists are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and are trained to deliver skills from various treatment modalities. These modalities may include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Skills learnt will include:
